Your "Bookjetty.com" link under "Web Applications" in this article is pointing to blurbme.

Nice writeup!
I am not a techie person myself, and it is good to see people who enjoy their work.

Hi Herry,

Nice to have met you at the first Singapore Web Standards Meetup. Keep in touch and all the best!

Hint hint - why not add WebSG.org to your list ;-)

Loved reading your post. You were in the same place I find myself in right now. For 4 years I was with MicroUsability (a local usability firm of which I was co-founder) working day and night on usability projects for the government and for mobile applications, teaching at the local university .... finally now I've broken free. I'm in the middle of my sabbatical right now...and I'm loving it ;)

Frankly, I want to see the next killer deisgn innovation to come out of singapore...and that is why I left the comfort of being in Microusability to start a new venture that's totally risky, totally insane, 100% user research and testing driven, with the focus on just innovating innovating and innovating. I mean, we plan to have a gaming room where ANYONE can come in to play games for free (the only catch is that we get to record everything...hand gestures, eye movement, everything).

But I do feel the same way you feel. There's lots to learn but with the right focus and right balance between actually working and learning, I think we'll all do just fine.

Yeah, sometimes people can get lost amid the mountain of work that need to be done and forget that there are new ideas being thought of and faster ways of accomplishing tasks.
